Pregnancy termination

It can be a shock to find out you’re pregnant, if it’s not planned or the right time for you. The majority of women realise they’re pregnant reasonably early, so are able to take time to make the decision which is right for them.

If you feel you are unable to continue with your pregnancy, for whatever reason, then a medical procedure to end the pregnancy, called a termination or abortion, is available at local NHS hospitals and licensed clinics.
