Herefordshire's Talk Community Strategy 2024 - 2027: Building Strong, Connected Communities
12 November 2024
This strategy sets out Herefordshire Council’s vision to empower communities and enable residents of all ages to thrive. Recognising the strength of our county’s voluntary and community sector, Talk Community embodies our commitment to a proactive, partnership-driven approach that supports resilience, well-being, and early intervention across Herefordshire.
Since 2019, Talk Community has proven invaluable, bringing communities together during challenging times—from floods and the pandemic to the cost-of-living crisis. As Herefordshire continues to grow, our focus shifts toward empowering communities by co-designing solutions that reflect local needs. Key objectives in this strategy include enhancing support access, strengthening partnerships, amplifying community voices, and improving health and social care outcomes.
Our approach builds on extensive research, stakeholder input, and the dedicated work of the Talk Community teams who connect individuals with vital resources and foster collaboration among local organisations.
Key Objectives:
- Support individuals in accessing early help and prevention resources.
- Strengthen local partnerships to foster resilient communities.
- Empower communities to influence local decision-making and co-design solutions.
