Our Terms and Disclaimer notice explain the terms of use for the Talk Community Directory website, which is owned by Herefordshire Council.

Using Talk Community Directory

Talk Community Directory is provided as a free wellbeing information and signposting service and is intended:

  • To provide wellbeing information, along with details of a vast range of organisations, services, groups, activities and events available both locally and nationally for members of the public and professionals.  It should not be used as a substitute for professional advice, which should be sought where appropriate.

  • For personal use and viewing.  From the date you first access and use the Talk Community Directory website, this constitutes acceptance by you of our Terms and Disclaimer.


If you are a provider of goods or services, looking to register on Talk Community Directory, you must also agree to our Code of Conduct prior to doing so.

All content, names, images and logos which identify the Talk Community Directory, are proprietary marks of Herefordshire Council (unless otherwise stated).  If you wish to copy our material and / or those belonging to third parties, you must have written permission from Talk Community Directory or the relevant copyright owner.  If you’d like to use the Talk Community Directory logo, please contact the team using the details at the bottom of the page.

Talk Community Directory has only carried out limited checks on the information providers submit to the website, for example to confirm it’s in the appropriate format and all required fields have been completed.  Therefore, it isn't in a position to know if providers are qualified, licensed or able to meet the needs of individuals, it is the responsibility of each individual to assess if a provider is suitable.  Whilst we regularly review our content to try and ensure it is accurate and up to date, we can’t guarantee that the information supplied by providers is always current.

Talk Community Directory makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services or related graphics it contains, for any purpose.  Any reliance you place on such information, is therefore strictly at your own risk.

In no event, will Talk Community Directory or Herefordshire Council be liable for any loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of, or in connection with, the use of this website.

Equally, the views expressed by providers who upload content to the website, do not represent the views or values of Talk Community Directory or Herefordshire Council.

Linking to Talk Community Directory

You can link directly to any of the pages on Talk Community Directory from your own website, providing it’s in a way which is fair, legal and doesn’t negatively reflect on our reputation or suggest any form of approval or endorsement by Talk Community Directory or the council, where none exists.  However, you’re not permitted to load our pages into frames on your website, they must all load into a user's entire window.

Libel

Please take care not to make libellous statements.  Under UK law, this means a statement that lowers the reputation of a person or organisation in the eyes of a reasonable person.  We therefore reserve the right to remove any published statement which could be deemed to be libellous.
