Travelling to medical appointments

You may be able to claim a refund for healthcare travel costs under the NHS Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme. For further information visit the NHS website for information about  help with health costs.

Community transport

You may also be able to use one of Herefordshire's community transport schemes if you are unable to use public transport services because:

  • No public transport service is available
  • No alternative transport is available at the time you need to travel
  • You or your child have limited mobility, which prevents you from using bus or train services
